The first thing I liked was how comfortable and even feeling the boot feels when I slide into them. These boots surprised me. I did add an additional insole inside which made them perfect for me. I’m not sure how they will hold up. But until then my feet are gonna be happy. These boots are way more comfortable than the Merrell work boots I recently purchased. The rubber sole compound has more grip and give than the Merrells. The Merrells have a very hard compound. Maybe it’s different boots for different roles. But I’m happy with these boots and not thrilled with the Merrells.

The boots are really comfortable, just like a good pair of hiking boots. I use them all the time now, unfortunately they are NOT steel or plastic toe. They are hard rubber, but it still gives in, so be cautious. But again, they are really comfortable for wearing all day.

I got these after my Orthopedic Surgeon cleared me to transition out of the walking boot that I spent over three years with. Yes a long time but much better than the alternative….(amputation). It was a challenge but appears to be paying off!Side Zip was the major selling point as in being a major Plus in my decision.The only major improvement would be full length zipper for the tongue. Aside from that then a tongue that can be peeled away full length down to the base and just above and behind the steel cap for steel toed boots…….common and required for some occupations aircraft, industrial, you get the idea.I ordered the Sage and Tan and they fit real good one time a day……after long term rest periods. After that swelling from a permanent left leg ankle injury makes pretty much impossible to place leg in due to a permanent “uplock pin” which limits ankle deflection from about 30-40 degrees range of motion to about 15-20 degrees. ankle doesn’t deflect enough to…”walk the leg into the boot.Simplest solution would be a tongue that can be …….”peeled back” the entire length of the tongue area to allow a simple slide foot in , then the side Zips .Another solution…for me at least but I am sure there are others with same issues.Design and manufacture Extra wide or possibly 2 extra wide. Boot fits perfect one time a day…when swelling dissipates after being off foot for extended period. After that the swelling make fitting the boot over the swollen area. Extra wide would provide more expansion area and reduce the risk of blood flow to the foot and keep circulation around the swollen area. Also reduces risk of blood clotting.Color options and overall design elements appear to be high quality and expectation of long term durability and reliability are well founded.11.5 extra wide and full length tongue extension would be a great addition. 4 stars due to not having Extra wide option and haven’t worn enough to make informed decision for higher star rating.
