William Piper –
I’m not usually brand loyal but after purchasing some of their other gear, I decided to give this chest rig a shot. Easy to put on, it feels durable while I’ve got mags and boo boo kits in it. I’d don’t have a preference for a harness type so whether it’s a “H” or “X” style harness doesn’t sway my opinion. The elastic loops underneath, that I’m assuming are for a tourniquet feel a strong out of the box, but if I was planning on needing to hit the deck or crawl, I’d probably not use them for securing anything. It’s what you’d expect from a chest rig. Good size, I like the gray color, I’ve read that it can be attached to a backpack strap, but haven’t tested that out. I wouldn’t wear it with a plate carrier, as this is more of a “get home” setup in case I have to ditch my truck. Fits a baofeng radio 4 mags, two boxes of 35rds, and a write in the rain pad and pen. Easily adjustable to fit comfortably with whatever I’m wearing at the time and the zippers are well made. What’s great is that there is at least one company that makes small plates and a way to attach them specifically for this rig, so it fits all my needs. It doesn’t add much to your profile but I don’t see this as something I’d wear to the grocery store. Definitely a time and place for this rig, but it’s better to have it and not need it…

Great fit, low key, and plenty of room for EDC and concealed carry.

Upon first inspection, the pouch is a little smaller than expected, but it does have room for CC and mags, plus other small accessories you might want to have close to your person. I’m a bigger guy with broad shoulders and quite a bit of meat on my frame, and the detachable harness that makes this wearable as a chest rig only just fits me. The hooks and buckles that hold the shoulder strap/harness in place are very easy to adjust but also create a stable connection to the pouch. I’ve got quite a few things in my pouch, but I carry the harness/strap in my go bag to free up some space though they can be nicely tucked in one of the pockets when you’re using one or the other. It is comfortable to wear even for a guy my size, the zippers all function smoothly, and the materials from which it’s made are solid. This is meant to be a gray man type of bag, so of course there is no molle or any kind of way to attach things to the exterior, but I could see it being easily modified to accommodate such things. The straps and harness can be completely removed and there is a covered velcro patch on the back which can be easily used to attach to a plate carrier for a modular setup.
