This is a great scope; I have two. One is mounted to my Crossman NP II Air Rifle. The other is to the top of my Marlin XT 22LR. I have a Boyds Custom Varmint Hunter Stock to the Marlin and I can tell you with no degree of difference the Crossman Nitro Piston II kicks a lot harder than my 22LR. The UTG holds Zero for a good 200 rounds on the Air Rifle before it needs a click maybe 2 at most back. The IR is awsome at night. I threw a Green Lazer ontop the Air Rifle; select RED on the IR and with a Night Glo Stick near a target; I can plink till the battery in the Scope goes dead.At $3 a battery and you get a few nights use out of it, simple and inexpensive option to have some fun with.As for throwing it onto my 22LR, well – up at the Range I shoot at in North GA – I have had several people fire my Marlin. It’s at ZERO on 75 yards and I am in the RED on 8″ targets. If I need a click here or there, it;s not often. The glass is clear – clean and crsip, You easily make out the holes on the Splatter targets. It’s a big scope, and it will add weight to your 22LR. The view/picture is 2’nd to none from over 10-15 scopes I have looked thru other wise. Finally, get it out there on a 50 degree wet day and you will see no fog up on the lens. maybe some condensation but no fog.$100 is $100. It’s the one time investment ya make to really see what ya want to hit at 75 or 100 yards. After 100 yards – I think any 40 grain projectile is gona move / spray off target. Along with moving beyond 100 yards; check your LBS./Engery at 100 yards or more – doubtful your gona take down a Varmint at that distance, but a good hit may.Bottom Line; Buy it, sight it in at 50 yards – nail your Bulls Eye – get it out to 75 Yards and try to hold your groupings in the RED. Do that, then back it up to 100 yards. You will see your punches all day long with a splatter target. You only need the 8″ Splatter targets. This scope when zero’d will keep you well inside the Kill Zone.

SWEET SCOPE!!!! Mounted on a Gamo Bone Collector Bull Whisper. The optics are especially clear. All the adjustments are nice and tight. As a note, my first one broke (in all honesty, I do not think it was the scope’s fault but a pellet gun’s piston adjustment. Had to send the gun back to Gamo for repair.) but Leapers UTG replaced it. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Remember, this is a $100 scope and not a $1000 scope. I have bought several scopes in this price range and the quality of this scope is excellent for a $100 scope.
