LOVE THIS JACKET! I was looking for something to replace my old The North Face zip up jacket that I had for close to 30 years. Needed pockets on the shoulders and the breast pocket for my smart phone and my ear buds, or my cigar lighter and cutter when I’d be at a smoking lounge. This thing delivers in spades! And it looks super slick as well! WORTH EVERY DOLLAR!

I am a M/L size depending on the mfg and the medium fits me perfectly (6’0, 170lbs 32″ W, 40 suit). This appears very well ma=de, in fact surprisingly well made a n looks great! I lost a very nice coat that was similar to this and this is exactly what I was looking for. Not a ski coat but perfect for cold weather and a biz meeting in NY. Love it, very happy with the looks size and quality.

This will be the third light fleece-lined jacket I have purchased in the last 11 years. I ride a motorcycle back and forth to work and for just about everything it can be practically used for, so that is where the main focus of my review will be, just to save you hikers and tactical users some time.I’d like to open with the things that kept me from rating this jacket 5 star. They’re nitpicky and you’ve probably heard a lot of them before, but they bear noting. First and foremost, the reason this will be my third riding jacket in 11 years is simple; the fine toothed, plastic zipper is simply inferior in quality, and will INEVITABLY fail. I understand planned obsolescence, but it drives me up the wall. The reason I will have to buy another one of these in 4 or 5 years is because it will simply not zip up at some point. Probably when I need it to the most. Enough said.Other minor annoyances about this particular jacket are really not that numerous. The stand up collar is, I’m sure, quite effective at keeping cool air from getting in around your neck, but it drags the bottom of my helmet when I’m scanning side to side, and it’s too tall for me to fully zip when I’m riding. Also, I’m not crazy about the left-hand zipper placement, but that’s just personal preference. I have no idea why they put the hook and loop patches on the upper sleeves – it gets snagged by the wind flap hooks every time I try to fold it or hang it up.Other than these relatively minor issues, I think the jacket is great. It’s quite warm, is very effective at keeping wind and precipitation out, and has numerous features to customize fit. I’ve only ridden once when there was some heavy mist and fog, but the water beaded up nicely, so I anticipate good water resistance. While I’m not crazy about the zipper, the wind flap is extremely effective. I’ve ridden with just the jacket over short sleeves in temperatures down to the low 40’s with no problem. The adjustable cuffs allow for large gloves, and the fact that they combine a flexible, elastic section for compression with the hook and loop flap to cinch it tight provides an excellent wind seal. There’s a ton of pockets, and they’re all secure. All in all, I’m very pleased with the fit and finish, and very happy with the quality and value of this jacket. For the price, I believe it is certainly as good a purchase as you can make.
