Smaller than expected, but worked well for clearing several inches of packed snow and ice off the driveway.Small rust spots appeared after only one use. Easy to clean off, but preventative cleaning is the way to go.

This thing is awesome! The quality is great! It has all kinds of cool gadgets. I love that it has a sturdy carrying case too. Great addition to my emergency go bag!

This is probably the most complete e-tool out there for the money. I bought the 35-inch version. But it there are a few things that will make this non-ideal for military use:1. It’s heavy, but that also means this is sturdy. This is not just hollow aluminum like the typical military issue e-tool. This feels solid and because of that, it is heavier than the GI e-tool.2. Since it has loose parts, it will clang around in the carrier. When it is first delivered, each parts are wrapped in bubble wrap, but once that’s gone, the parts will bounce around in the carrier. I wish the carrier had stitched compartments to keep the extension bars separate from each other and the shovel itself.3. The whistle/magnesium rod combo will thread inside one of the extension bars which keeps it in place, however, it is too long that the whistle sticks out when stored in the carrier bag. There are three extension bars (including the handle); it would have been better if the whistle and the magnesium rod was separate so that the whistle, magnesium rod, and knife can be kept in each extension bars (which is the case in the 31 inch version).4. The ice pick is a loose part that does not fit into the shovel when being used. All other parts are stored neatly within the shovel when fully assembled, but the ice pick is the odd-man out. If it was designed small enough to be threaded and stored in one of the extension bar, or if the carrier bag had a compartment, that would be better.Anyways, for these reasons, I have decided to return the 35-inch version and get the 31-inch version instead. It is still a great shovel for camping, but the ice pick and the 4 additional inch in the handle was not worth it, IMHO.
