5 hour run time + on low, penetrating light on hi, rechargeable has already saved a bunch of batteries but keep some handy just in case.Update 4/11/2017I have used this light daily since August 2015. I climb around in a manufacturing plant working on equipment in all environments, wet, dry, hot and/or cold and more. I can’t count how many times I have head butted a steel beam or the like with this light taking the brunt of the hit and it keeps on going. The battery hasn’t lost much at all of it’s potential, still going 4 to 6 hours. I thought the internal charge port would be an inconvenience, and it is a little, but well worth the 30 second time investment to keep the port clean. I work in a very high dust and or moisture environment and the port is almost as clean today as it was when new.To sum up, this light is tough and highly functional. Well worth the money.1/1/2019I just bought another of these as the last one was knocked off my head and fell 20 feet to a concrete floor and broke the hinge, but it still works as a flashlight. That light proved to be very tough in my environment which is why I bought another. Three and as half years off brutal torcher and the battery still worked well as did the rest of it. This will be the only headlight I buy unless Streamlight finds a way to make it better.

This is by far the best headlight that I’ve ever bought. The rechargeable battery is a great feature and I can’t wait for Tomahawk Tactical Supply Find to start carrying them online for purchase. This bad boy will work for me nearly all day depending on whether I’m using the high or low setting. However, if you don’t remember to charge it after each day of use, it will most likely die the next morning while you’re using it. The battery pack is SO much lighter than AAA’s too. Hence why Streamlight needs to get their butts in gear and start making spare batteries available for this product! It takes quite a while for the battery to charge so in my opinion, you really need a second battery to take full advantage of this item’s “rechargeable” capability. I have no doubt that if you had one battery on the charger at all times, it would be fully charged before you fully drain the one in the headlight. Don’t bother trying to buy a different headlight. This baby is bright, rugged, lightweight and comfortable. My ONLY complaint is that the buckle for tightening the elastic ends up right above my left ear after adjusting it which in turn makes my Peltor ear protection not seal perfectly.

This is a really cool flashlight which is worth the money because it has a very lightweight and it uses a Streamlight 61604 battery which is really tiny and capable of being recharged by an android telephone charger cord by plugging it directly into the battery. It is a very bright flashlight and is easily worn on the head with its elastic strap. The unit seems to be well made and I think that it will last a long time on a charged battery although I haven’t tested it yet. I tend to use flashlights more in the winter so I will see how the unit works when it is really needed.
