I primarily use this when walking my dog, although I keep it in my pocket when hiking or skiing as well. The battery is long lasting and can be recharged very easily with the included cable. The light is great for seeing the path ahead, looking ahead as much as a block or two in the dark when needed, can be dimmed if you are trying not to wake the neighbors on a super late or early dog walk, and if you are walking on a busy street you can use the included wrist strap and set it to blinking mode to make sure you are a little more visible. I also like the fact that it has an SOS feature – I figure with the stories of skiers or campers who ran into difficulties, this would be handy to have in case of emergencies and can be seen from a long distance away in the dark. Yep, it is “just a flashlight” but it is solidly built, very bright, nicely rechargeable, and overall seems to be a great option for every day or emergency use.

Buy this flashlight. It is far and away the strongest flashlight I’ve owned. There are raccoons that love to congregant for late night meetings by the dumpster by me which is what prompted my purchase and those little guys can now see me coming from a mile away and scatter. Seriously, I haven’t tested the distance with a measuring tape of anything but with the ability to zoom and narrow the path of the light, this thing has insane distance, at least a few football fields. That’s American football to those of you who use the metric system. When I point it to the sky I feel like there will be an immanent Batman sighting. I can only imagine how useful this thing will be when I go camping, but I have also thought it could be useful to shine back at trucks on the road who love to blind others with their massive LED light bars.. okay that may be against the law but man would I love to just once and this thing would be the perfect accessory.In all seriousness, this has 5 settings. 3 brightness settings, a strobe setting (that I’m sure the raccoons will hate if I use it on them), and a SOS setting which would be seen 3 cities away if in danger. It’s a bit big, but expected for how powerful it is. Like it’s not clunky or anything but it would be a tight fit and create a bulge in your pocket.. get your mind out of the gutter.It’s rechargeable or you can add your own batteries so it’s nice to have options.Anyway after all that all I’m trying to say is if you have any hesitations then hopefully this clears them up. Get this flashlight.

The charge seems to last a decent amount of time. I like that it is rechargeable through a USB cable. It is small, but heavy, seems to be built for longevity.
