I ordered this along with another, more popular tactical 40L bag of similar design at the same time to compare both. I’m sending the 40L one back and keeping this one. This one is just more comfortable with it’s wide and thickly padded shoulder straps and wide waist belt and it fits a lot more in it, which is great. It also cinches down if you are not using all the space. When walking around it just felt like a more comfortable pack than the smaller one. I’m very pleased with it and actually I like this backpack better than 3 other ones I already have, including one that cost $100. It does have the rain cover and tons of little storage pockets. It is really great for organizing stuff. Very happy with purchase so far. About the only negatives are the zippers. While very large, they do seem almost too easy to move and would be afraid about them shifting open on their own. I got around this by just putting a carabiner through the lanyards on the dual zippers to keep it shut. Also the one strap that goes around back to cinch it connects to the bottom of the bag at a point that is not really reinforced that well. Most other straps on the bag are connected to reinforced points with other straps connecting through it. Other than those two minor gripes the bag is great. I’m looking forward to using it more.

So while I may not be hiking with this bag, I use it to pack out for weekend stays at friends places and hotels, as I tend to be out and about a bit. The compartments and just overall storage available with this bag are GREAT. Got this bag on sale for like $27 and I don’t think there’s a better deal out there.

One zipper was broken, right out of the box. It was split down the middle. I think I was able to fix it. I am going to give it a few weeks and update.It fees pretty durable.
