Dimensions: 8.5″ x 4″ x 2″Capacity: 250 bullets total: 100 loose and up to 150 boxed (3 boxes of 50 each).Note: DOES NOT come with ammo (some reviewers complain they thought it came with the ammo, but it is just the box). This is a great little box. It gives you easy access to 100 rounds, and has storage for up to 150 additional. It is a simple, good looking little box, and the blue color looks better in person than in the product image. It is a nice size and shape, and made out of textured plastic which gives you a better grip on the box when you hold it. The hinge is a little stiff at first and doesn’t want to stay open, but its thickness is what makes it durable (and once you open and close it a few times, this won’t be an issue). The latch closes securely. It is possible that the latch could get snagged and pulled open if not properly stored in your bag, but this should not be a problem if it is packed securely. I do wish this box had a way to lock it shut, such as holes on each half that line up when the box is closed for attaching an external lock. To me, this is my only real disappointment with this box. Some reviewers complain about their box arriving warped and not closing properly. Mine is not warped at all and closes nicely (if you happen to get a bad one, I suggest getting a replacement). The function of the “loose” ammo slots is great. The holes are spaced well for being able to pull a single bullet out at a time. My .22 long rifle bullets sit nicely (nose-down) in the holes. The bottoms of the ammo holes are rounded so the bullets sit well and don’t wiggle around too much. The tops of the bullets sit high enough above the holes to let you grip them well when pulling them out.A bunch of reviewers complain about the bullets moving around in the box if it’s tipped. I experimented with this and was unable to get the bullets to fall out of their holes with the lid shut. However, the bullets do “slide” and hit the inside of the lid before falling back into place in their holes. For safety and noise reasons, I chose to remedy this. I cut a piece of foam (1/2″ thick) to fit up inside the lid (as shown in my photos), which keeps the bullets nice and still during transport. I also cut a small piece of foam to keep the boxed ammo from sliding around. Some reviewers complain about needing to do this, but honestly it is a cheap and easy way to make this already great box just that much more awesome. This box also gives you some options for storing your extra boxes of ammo. You can easily store 2 of the larger plastic packs or 3 of the smaller cardboard boxes. There are other options as well, such as 1 plastic and 1 cardboard, 2 cardboard, etc. Since I already had foam from modifying the inside of the lid, I used an extra piece to make a small spacer to keep my 2 boxes from moving around. You can arrange boxes flat or on their sides, or a combination of both. When using 3 cardboard boxes, they fit the best when one is flat and 2 are on their sides (see photos). If you want to hold any of the boxes on their sides and add foam to your lid, I suggest two separate pieces of foam that cover only the loose ammo sections (the boxes stick up into the lid quite a bit when on their sides). As another reviewed stated, this should be kept out of the sun/heat, both for safety reasons and to keep it from warping.

Very handy 22lr box. Stores bullet tip down which is nice so you are not getting wax or lubricant on your fingers. In my opinion, it also allows the rounds to be retrieved easier from the box. Lid snaps secure so you don’t have to worry about dumping ammo in your shooting bag.
Mine –
I carry a 10/22 in my truck at all times and like to have a variety of ammo without dealing with 20 50-rd boxes, so I bought one of each color. These things are excellent. The plastic is thick but flexible, so I’m not worried about it cracking. At the price, I expected the inserts to be cheap brittle plastic, but they’re thick, molded, black plastic that fits.22lr perfectly. There’s 1/4-3/8″ gap between the lid and the rim of the casings, but unless you’re using this for .22 shorts or CBs the rounds stay in place. I do plan to place some foam in the lid to keep the rattling down.I read multiple reviews that said only 2 plastic 50-rd boxes would fit in the middle. That’s bad information. They’ll fit 3 plastic boxes of CCI Stingers on their sides perfectly. Paper boxes give a little extra room, but no more than 3 boxes will fit.I wish I’d found these sooner. I’ll probably order more. Will update with pics if I remember….
