Since it’s introduction in 1965, I have never found a more versatile, more satisfying jacket than this.If you’re tired of the “noise “ of treated polyesters, the lack of true ventilation of “miracle “ fleece, Gore-Tex and every major “improvement “ in outdoor clothing, this has always been the go-to jacket for you.Made chiefly of cotton with a removable quilted liner, this jacket is as satisfying as snuggling under one of your Grandmother’s quilts. With the liner installed, this is a heavier, roomier, and more thoughtful garment which enjoys a comfortable amount of heft as compared to the 1/2 inch fleece or down offered by today’s newest fabrics. There is plenty of room to layer if the weather is cold, and plenty of ways to cool down when things warm up and you just need a light jacket.Simply remove the liner for spring and fall and enjoy the large pockets for all of your devices and change. In a fashionable sense, this has always been the most rugged jacket in looks and performance that you can buy.It is treated for water resistance, but in a deluge, you will want a serious rain coat to cover it.I used to buy these from military surplus in grade, middle , and high school, and it is nice that you can now get them here on Tomahawk Tactical Supply Find.I have always gone back to this coat throughout my life for the overall comfort, performance, and just plain good sense that it makes.Like a good pair of jeans , this garment gets increasingly more satisfying the more you wear it.

This jacket is a very cool, military like jacket. It is very comfortable, warm and stylish. It is above and beyond what I expected- very highly recommended!!!

Jacket looks good, I am wearing it now, the jacket looks in general like a good product, I am 5’8′ average but 20 extra pounds; for me the jacket fits perfect, except the arms, the length is a 1.5″ short, the zipper is too short and is metallic yellowish, which is really horrible, but I imagine thse were used in the 60’s, it feels confortable but the big issue is the “zipped-in concealed hood”, it is really bad set because it goes inside the back of the jacket, so imagine if you remove that to use it, then when you want to set back you feel something in your back between omoplates, I am not jocking. Setting it back took me 15 mins to accomodate the hood inside again, that gave me the impression of poor design, the hood is also very, very but vey basic, if I had seen the hood before buying, I had not bought the jacket, I think I am not going to use the concealed hood I would not have purchased. This poor design is making the neck bodyless, so it turns down because the hood is in the back not concealed in the neck. The bags for your hands are also a problem in this type of jacket, the hands can go inside only from above, it should be nice to have them from the back side to make them useful. The designer thought more to use them to carry things than to your hands in.My biceps is not the biggest is average for an old man and it feel tight on them too.I have pulled out the insulation and it feels good without it. Overall despite the issues for arriving which is more a USPS logistic issue, the jacket itself has to have only 3 over 5.
