The belt has a low profile buckle that does not create a bulge. It also adjusts to multiple sizes, which is perfect for fluctuating weight or bloatiness.

Contrary to what was asserted by some others, my experience is that the buckle is secure. Several months of wear, the buckle finish is unmarred.If I compare this to the two other ratchet buckle belts I own, I would rank this in the middle. I like the width of the belt the best because is better “fills” the belt loops of jeans and tthe technical clothing I wear when using this belt. After several months of usage – my most frequently worn belt since I got it – it shows no wear. The webbing is a bit stiffer than I would prefer, but it is not uncomfortable. The buckle is easy enough to “work,” but perhaps not as easy as the belt I would rank higher. I say “perhaps” because I have a lot more experience wearing anoither belt with a very similar buckle that has the buckle on the opposite side (no, not front or back) of the buckle. Consequently, I tend to reach to the wrong place when seeking to release the belt.
