I went through a ratchet belt phase before returning to a good old fashioned leather belt. The ratchet belts kept slipping. This belt is solid. I clip holsters to it. After a month of daily wear I can say it holds up.

I ordered this belt to wear when my black EDC belt would clash with the colors of my outfit. The belt itself is sturdy & will not crack if you bend it. I was able to easily detach the buckle & cut off the extra belt length with trauma shears, although kitchen scissors should do the trick. While I can successfully holster my EDC onto this belt, the amount of flex the belt has, while comfortable, does not make me confident in its ability to retain my EDC while drawing. However, this is a non-issue for those who are not carrying concealed or those whose holster is retained with clips designed for fabric (as opposed to the belt). The ratcheting mechanism works well, but I have to open the buckle in order to pass the tag end of the belt through it. This is something that may change with wear over time but for now it’s an extra step in wearing the belt. For the price, I would say this is a quality product & would recommend it to a friend.
