This scope is awesome! Especially for the price, you cannot beat it. I used a lower powered one that a friend had lent to me and it was really hard to find the shots, at 25 yeards! I got this 60x spotting scope and I am able to see all of my shots even further away and the magnification is excellent! The stand makes it convenient to spot while focusing per shot and the angled eyepiece makes it easy to fire and then spot. The fact that it came with a hard case and a soft case made it that much more attractive. Excellent investment, excellent value, excellent find!

Good, cheap PRC optics. Comes with a screw-on eyepiece cover and a lens cover. To get significantly better performance, I’d have to spend 5-7 times the amount, this is an excellent value! 1/2-3/4″ eye relief at 20x, no eye relief at 60x on a power pole a 1/2 mile (880 yds) away, but the insulators are tack sharp, and I can read bumper stickers with ease at 300-400 yds. Light throughput was reasonable last night looking at Christmas lights at 20-60x. The tripod is rock solid for a 24 oz scope, perfect for the range, I’ll use a photo tripod if need a taller one. I will use the softcase for transport. The hardcase is very, very pretty but poorly built, it’ll go to my grand daughter…

The scope itself has a very good build quality. The kit that comes with the scope was much better then expected.I would have thought you’d have to spend twice as much to get such a nice kit.At the same time I purchased this scope I bought a tripod that I thought would be a nice upgrade from the kit tripod.SLIK MINI PRO V $29 amazonThat tripod has more adjustments, lighter and smaller…That said, the tripod has a lot of shake makes looking at objects more then 40x zoom very difficult. The tripod that is included in this kit is quite good, don’t upgrade unless you getting something much better then what I bought. Some concerns:I use this scope at a indoor 50m range which requires the use of eye protection. When you have eye pro on you can’t get eye-relief on the scope.I have yet to find anyone wearing eye pro that can see anything past about 25x. If you take the eye pro off then it’s no problem to get eye relief.^ I’m not sure how this scope is if you wear glasses, but you might be in a similar boat.Once you get past about 50x zoom the image gets quite dark. I use this a indoor range that is pretty well lit.I shoot at the range’s max range 50m and with 50-60x zoom the image is quite dark. The image is still viewable, but pretty degraded.I have a Mueller APV 4.5-14x 40mm scope on my rifle and the image is far far better. My scope cost $129 and did not include anything besides the scope itself, so it is more expensive. This is a decent scope with excellent accessories, but the image is pretty poor past 50x and almost impossible to use with eye pro.I would recommend looking into a better scope if your budget permits.
