M. Beckerman –
I ordered this backpack through Tomahawk Tactical Supply Find not really sure how much I was going to like it. I own about five other regular-size backpacks that I absolutely love from various other companies and I have always bought at retail after having a chance to see them in person and try them on. This is the first time I have ever purchased one over the web just based on the photos and the product description. Well, it just arrived and I have to say, I’m already absolutely in LOVE with this backpack! It’s a slightly smaller size (purchased because it meets the requirements for United Airlines to fit under the seat in front of you on a flight to be able to qualify as a “personal item” that doesn’t have to be put in the overhead compartment during an Basic Economy ticket flight). The materials, craftsmanship and build-quality are excellent on this backpack but the real standout on it is the design/layout of the bag. The design of this bag is very close to perfect. It’s exactly the right size, with exactly the right features in exactly the right place. I don’t know who the designer was on this bag, but they absolutely got it right and they unquestionably knew what they were doing. I really don’t know how you could possibly do a small backpack any better than this? It’s THAT good! As a product, this backpack is clearly a home-run for this company. If you are looking for a really well-designed, smaller backpack I just don’t know how you beat this one? If I didn’t already have five other backpacks, I’d probably order another one. If you know someone that loves backpacks this would make a perfect gift for them. The smaller size on this one is great too because it’s just big enough to be very useful but not big enough to be too big or bulky like so many other backpacks sold today are. Can’t wait to take it out and about and start using it! (Update: The backpack has been working out great. Really enjoying using it. A close friend came over and saw mine and wanted one of her own, so I just recently ordered another got her one in black as a birthday present.)

I think this bag for the price is amazing. It’s comfortable the way it sits on your back. The straps that go around your waist and chest are positioned perfectly. The pockets and zippers and all the hook straps are good quality. I use this pack every ride on my dirt bike. Five stars from me!
Moonshade –
I got this pack for hiking with the wife and dogs. I needed something a little bigger than my current small hiking hydration pack, smaller than a 3 day pack and at least a little bit of MOLLE to attach small pouches, a knife, etc. This pack looked to be just right. It does have some issues though.Pros:Size – Good for a day’s worth of gear (food, water, rain jacket, IFAK, etc.). Zippered pockets are good sizes and allow for decent organization.Extra water bottle pouch – This is one of the main reasons I like this design. I can put a water bottle here for the dogs.Build – Build material seems pretty sturdy. All stitchings are good and the straps seem well made. Although I hate them, the waste strap seems big enough to for users with a larger mid section.Cons:MOLLE – 4 straps of MOLLE on the large outside pouch are just straps with a single divider stitch. There should be at least 5 sections for the amount of space. It will accomidate my addtional water bottle pouch (again, more water for the dogs) but it does slide from side to side.Zippers – Not sure on the zippers. They are not smoothe and I already had to fix one separation on the vertical zipper on the pocket of the large pouch.Chest strap – Way too small. I’m 5’7″, 150lbs and with the strap fully extended it is very tight and pulls the straps across my chest.D-Rings – D-Rings are plastic instead of metal.Hydration bladder setup – The pouch for the bladder is nicely padded and my 2ltr bladder fits fine. However, there is no hook to hang bladder on. Also, the opening in the top to feed the drinking tube through is NOT accessable from the bladder area. There is a hole on the inside of the bladder area that goes into the main compartment. This hole metal ring lined, which is nice, but this is where you have to feed your tube through to get it out of the pack. No idea why the tube needs to go into the storage area. If, like me, your bladder has quick connects on the tube itself and a large mouthpiece or shut-off valve, it will not fit through this metal hole. It will definately not fit through the hole in the top of the bag. It is about the size of a pencil. I needed to use the pack, so I had to “customize” the hole with a couple of slits to make it big enough for the smallest part of the tube (the bladder side) to fit through and had to store the bladder in the main compartment. I am using a small carabiner to hold the bladder to the metal ring so it doesn’t collapse. I have since ordered another bladder that has a different type of connector so I can mount the bladder correctly. Not a bad bag, but could definately be made better with a little bit of engineering changes by the manufacturer.Update 04/30/2017: Seller was very anxious to make sure I was satisfied with the product and contacted me shortly after I wrote the original review. They have made note of the suggestions I made and are providing me with an additional item to compensate me for this one. Seller feedback has been marked as 5 Star for customer service. I have given this product an additional star due to the service they have provided.
