I ordered this because I was looking for a new rig that I could run drills in and this was in my feed.First off, the quick-release system did take a minute to get used to but now I love it. After a few outings I did find that it was super fast to get in and out of. The adjustments are solid to, so if you want to go heavy or light it’s easy to adjust. The vest itself feels durable but isn’t overly heavy, so you can move comfortably while still feeling protected. Bonus points for the padded shoulders. I’ve worn this a few times in extended trainings and it hasn’t worn my shoulders down. For the price, this is a solid option!

This is a functional vest with decent plate and magazine carriers that offers several advantages, but there are some things to consider before making a purchase decision. Overall, it’s a well-made tactical vest that I like. The front and back plate carriers are durable, comfortable, and of a decent size. The Velcro is thick and strong. The magazine carriers are comfortable and work well with many types of magazines, making them a useful addition. The vest can easily accommodate 10×12 plates with no issues. However, the most important thing to note is that the vest sits higher than expected. I’m about 6-02 and the vest barely reaches my belly button. While the plates offer real protection, the vest’s fabric should reach at least the belt line to protect your body properly. But if you keep extra gear on a belt, it will work fine. The vest interior has padding but it could be thicker, and the sides have absolutely zero padding making it uncomfortable while you are moving. The vest does not come with any, even foam, plates, so you’ll have to get your own at extra cost. And if you throw in some Kevlar plates for better effectiveness, then you’ll have something real in your hands. While it is suitable for prolonged use with heavy plates, it may become uncomfortable after an hour of wearing. It is okay for airsoft and for sufficient “emergency” use, but if you plan on using it with plates the whole day, I suggest purchasing a heavy-duty vest, which comes with better padding. The vest comes with three triple mag carriers (for the front) and four single mag carriers (for the sides). The product picture also shows two small zipper bags that I did not find in the packaging. I really like the quick release buckles on shoulder straps and sides that allow me to put the vest on and off in a matter of a minuteA few concerns I have about the vest. Adjusting the vest can be a bit tricky. The vest may be too small for a larger man even after resizing it as much as possible. I feel that it’s made for boys or slim and short men or women, and it’s not suitable at all for large and tall folk. The shoulder strap adjustment design works okay but limited. The sides that secure the front and the back are very thin and have no padding at all, therefore when you load it with gear they start “sagging”. The quick detach buckles work fine, but I’m somewhat worried about their robustness as they are made of plastic and feel fragile. Compared to other vests in this price range, I think this one is an okay buy at the current price of around 80 bucks taking into account that it comes with multiple mag carriers. I’d say it’s best suited for airsoft activities than real action.Bottom line:This vAv YAKEDA Tactical Outdoor Vest is fairly well-made tactical vest with durable plate carriers, strong Velcro, and versatile magazine storage. It comfortably fits 10×12 plates but sits higher than expected, leaving the lower torso exposed. While suitable for airsoft and light-duty use, it’s uncomfortable for extended wear due to minimal padding, especially on the sides. It lacks included plates, and the plastic quick-release buckles feel fragile. Best for slim, shorter users rather than taller or larger individuals. Decent value at $80, but better options exist for heavy-duty use. I’m giving it 3 stars.Pros:1. Durable plate carriers fit 10×12 plates securely.2. Thick Velcro provides a strong hold.3. Magazine carriers work with various mags and are plentiful.4. Quick-release buckles make it easy to put on and remove.5. Affordable price for included features.6. Suitable for airsoft and light use.Cons:1. Vest sits high, exposing the lower torso.2. Lacks side padding, making it uncomfortable.3. Plates not included, adding extra cost.4. Plastic buckles feel fragile.5. Hard to adjust for larger users.6. Side straps sag under heavy gear.7. Missing zipper bags shown in product images.

Over all build and quality seems really nice. I may end up keeping it, but I am disappointed that this is advertised as quick release but it definitely isn’t. If that’s not a deal breaker. It seems like a nice plate carrier for the price.
