Added this to my bump helmet without any issues. Velcro is good secured with no problems. The functions work well but the buttons are a little finicky when switching modes. I can’t confirm under my night vision that the IR does work quite well.

There was no battery included. Requires a CR type battery. I was able to use both a CR123 and a CR2 in it. CR batteries aren’t cheap but for the price of this thing and considering how cheaply made it is, they could have thrown one in. It comes with two caps for some reason, there is no indication as to why. The directions are very difficult to read and lack information.It will have three flashing IR LED diodes that are activated when pressing the button on the cap. It will click then the unit will vibrate 3 times to let you know that it is working. You can barely see the IR light with the naked eye and at any more than 6 foot it is complete invisible. It can be seen with a light magnification NVG, and especially so with IR imaging. With my cheap IR camera it’s pretty visible so I imagine that with a high quality IR imagery that it really stands out. It also will flash a visible spectrum light if you chose to turn it on by using the side buttons.This is not a professional grade product. And I realize that the real ones would cost much more. But, I can not see a realistic use for for this product that could not be accomplished with a much less expensive item.It has the quality of a toy.For the price…. its a 2.5 star. 3 stars over all.

Im always looking for IR devices to attach to my helmets and vehicles. The cost of these units has always been an issue. I decided to try this unit due to it having all the functions and its at a great price point. Here are my thoughts:Pros:- Easy install – fits great onto helmets- lots of different modes – visible and IR- buttons are easy to manipulate and figure outCons:- no batteries includedThis is a great helmet IR light. Im very impressed with how well it works and the great value it provides. Even after a weekend of training its held up well! Im impressed!
