Michael Moulin –
For the price of s35 steel this is a great find. High quality steel makes all the difference when used day to day. I recommend doing research on steel before buying and focus on what you will be using it for and where. Popular brands do make good knifes, this one is smooth with no movement in the blade after opening.

This is my first spyderco knife and its really blown me away. I know this is the entry level of spyderco knife but its still great for what it is. The action is smooth and had a satisfying click/snap when the blade locks into place. Now im not that knowledgeable about steel types but from what ive read, s35vn is a good upgrade from the older 8cr13mov blade steel. It also came with a razor sharp factory edge. Its not heavy by any means but it does have a nice weight to it. I went for the blue color variant to match my other edc gear and im really satisfied with it. Unfortunately i have dropped it already but surprisingly the scratches it got were very faint. I think thats a good testament to the durability & quality of this knife. For what its worth i think this a great value knife that im sure will last a long time with proper care & maintenance.

Fits my needs and works well, but not quite as nice as my made in Japan Delica. For made in China, I still think it’s worth the $50 I paid as it’s very nice compared to a lot of junk made there. Spyderco at least spec’d a nice product to offshore the manufacturing.
