For workbooks these are comfy and not as heavy as other boots I’ve had in the past. The sole has traction and keeps you from slipping. The only complaint I could have is that they are a bit pricey

These are great looking boots, I like shoes that don’t have the soles sticking way out in back & sides that make your foot longer and wider that it is and make you walk funny. The only complaint I have so far is where the tongue meets the area at the side of the zipper, the fold of material makes a lump that “Jabs” right into your ankle bone and is very painful. In fact I have a bruise on my right ankle just from wearing them for 5 minutes. I only hope I can modify them so I’ll be able to wear them without this gathering of material jabbing my ankle. I wear women’s 9 to 9.5W, these are Men’s 7.5W / Women’s 9.5W. They have plenty of room and a large toe box. I probably could have gone down half a size but didn’t want the composite to bother my foot and want to be able to wear thicker socks if need be.
