I was looking for black safari shirts to complement green and brown safari shirts. Propper’s quality is far superior to a major outdoor outfitter’s safari shirts. As soon as I opened the package (which arrived about 36 hours after I ordered), I was worried they had sent the wrong shirts — these things were heavy! Propper weaves shirts like they did thirty or forty years ago: heavy and tough and sturdy. Final hurtle was the sleeve length and overall fit. I wear a 38R: always a perfect fit right off the rack. Propper’s MR (Medium Regular) is a perfect fit. Most 38 or Medium shirts have 32-33 sleeves, which are too short. At 34.5 these sleeves are perfect. Don’t hesitate: Propper’s shirts are one of the best buys on the market.
