This is a plastic (I believe but am not certain) bodied, battery powered (rechargable) night vision scope which can be attached to an existing rifle scope or monocular–or simply be used all alone as a spotting scope and kept in your pack or large pocket. Comes in a cardboard box, unfortunately no case or sack. The kit comes with a bunch of adapters to allow secure physical connection to whatever sized scope you are using and some tape to wrap the current scope for bulk if you need to firm up the connection a bit.The image is bright and clear on a small internal screen which the seller says is about 3.69MP. Focus is simple and adaptable to most setups I can imagine. This will turn whatever you would see optically through your scope into an electronic image which is displayed inside the viewer. You can also save the image easily for later viewing. There is no magnification built into this device–what it sees is what you get on the screen whether it is directly viewing or displaying the image from your scope. Some of the hardware (especially the adapters) on this feels a bit too lightweight. At the price, I would expect a bit better build and feel but it isn’t important enough to knock off a star. The unit can be mounted directly to a standard tripod if desired. Not enough time yet to get a feel of battery life. Not sure how weatherproof this is going to be but the seller includes a two year warranty so they must think quite a bit of how rugged they built it.

I was issued NVGs in the ARMY back in the 90s. The ARMY NVGs weren’t much better than my “young” eyes adjusted to low light. Now I am old and can’t see well in the dark. Well now i can! This NVG is pretty amazing. Even in color mode where you aren’t using IR this NVG produces really good images.Once you turn the IR on WOW, its better than day light. I can point this thing into the darkest woods and see everything that is there. The IR beam can be focused and is VERY strong. The images is pretty good if you are holding still, if you sweep the horizon it will take a 1/2 second to catch up. i was surprised it came with a TF card already in the NVG. What a great buy!

Wow, hand held monocular or mount to rifle scope or spotting scope for Night Vision with video recordingThis is way more than a Night Vision capable scope, it is also a night time or day time video recorder (with slow motion capture). The image is great just looking through it. I am going to mount it to my Spotting Scope, using a Tripod, and eventually to my rifle scope. It is sort of long, and it will be tricky to pick out a rifle scope that can be mounted far enough forward to compensate for the added length at the ocular end of the rifle scope. In my state you can only hunt hogs and coyotes using Night Vision and only under strict conditions and seasons so be sure to check your own state’s hunting regulations.
