This is exactly what it looks like and worked exactly as promised for me. I uploaded the pictures against the Hot Weather uniform for you to compare. It is not a perfect match, because it can’t be, but it looks really close to me.It has a huge adjustment on the back and fit a 34 inch waist and could easily go out to 42+ inches. It comes with replacement clips in case they break, but they seem pretty sturdy. I filled the rack with full magazines and it was still pretty comfortable, well balanced.It is a Chinese version of the TAP. No CIF would take this, nor should you expect that. It says it is AKMax and does not have an NSN. If you are looking for a replacement for CIF turn-in, this is not it.

Side by side with a genuine TAP (I deployed with one attached to a Gen4 IOTV from 2019-2020), this product is an obvious clone to someone who has intimate experience with genuine equipment. That being said, I did not buy this as a CIF turn-in replacement but as an “I’d like one to mess around with” and it meets that requirement well. /LARP/Cosplay this will exceed those needs.The only way I’d truly think to improve it is to make this available in other colors and camo patterns.

Overall: 4/5I wish there were more camo options as I’m not a huge fan of either provided choice. Still, the rig is large enough for me, it has 8 front pockets that I’ll largely use for mags and 3 rear pockets (2 Velcro, 1 zippered) that I’ll use for other accessories. The rig includes adapters and replacement clips. It’s a good enough rig for the general weekend warrior.Quality: 5/5Well made with no noticeable flaws.Value: 3/5An average value considering sizing, performance, features, and comps.
