Bass Guy –
I needed a belt for work that wouldn’t set off the security metal detectors (otherwise I have to take off a standard belt with metal buckle everytime I leave and enter. Big hassle). This is nothing fancy, but does exactly what I needed quite well. As others say, sizing was easy: just cut to length and lightly run a lighter over the cut end to melt / seal it. No holes needed, the plastic clasp clamps down wherever you need it. It reminds me a little of the belts we wore in Boy Scouts. NOTE: I recommend putting the belt on, THEN making the cut to be sure you have the right length.

I own a couple of black belts of similar style, and I thought I’d try a different color. The one I picked was dark brown (I think it just says “brown”, but it’s the darker one). The first thing to note is the buckle color. I wasn’t sure from the picture, but the buckle is definitely black. It’s fine with me, but some of the belts have a buckle of the same color. In this case, a dark brown buckle probably wouldn’t have looked much different than the black buckle anyway.Pro tip: when trimming the length, don’t cut the tapered end. Unlatch the buckle and cut that end (the blunt end) instead, then reconnect the buckle. With a good pair of scissors, you can be finished in less than a minute.I like that there is no metal on them. I can go swimming and the nylon doesn’t care. It is infinitely adjustable to accommodate different clothing and activity levels. While I normally wear these with shorts or jeans, you might get away with wearing this belt with fancier clothes in a pinch, such as packing light on a vacation. The nylon seems to last forever. Leather belts stretch and wear and eventually look bad, but these nylon belts look practically brand new even years later. The nicest thing is that they aren’t expensive. This one was just under $9 dollars. I could probably get one of every color and it wouldn’t break the bank. Black is my go-to, but I wouldn’t mind navy or khaki if I wanted to mix and match colors with my clothes, which is why I decided to get this brown one for my brown shorts.

The belt color was exactly as it looked in the picture. For those who can’t wear metal clips due to skin conditions don’t worry I haven’t had any flare ups. They do give you a lot of extra material to cut to desired length. As someone who’s cut many football belts I know how to melt the end to hold. However for some reason after a few times of pushing the belt through the latching mechanism it has started to fray. I cut it again, melted it again, and it continues to fray. The belt latch itself took me a second to figure out but it isn’t a turn down situation. The belt holds my tools up all day tho and maintains its tightness throughout the day. Overall it’s a good belt, I just wish there was an easier pull through on the latch itself that wouldn’t make it fray.
