I wanted to find a reason to deduct a star from this review as I was initially disappointed upon removing the Ewenele Rechargeable Spotlight. It had a plastic body and was very light-weight. I suppose I was predisposed to be circumspect about the product as I do not believe that it is capable of emitting the 2-million lumens it purports to be. I’m a retired electrical inspector who has purchased dozens of flashlights throughout my career from pocket LED flashlights as backup when my primary fails to several hundred dollar, law-enforcement quality LED flashlights. All of the previous flashlights have had heavy metal cases and were substantially heavier than this device. Over the years, I’ve encountered numerous flashlight manufacturers who have made similar claims as to the lumen output. Electrical engineers would attest to the fact that the LED chip contained within this device is incapable of attaining 2 million lumens. Others have argued in the past that it was such outputs were achievable utilizing modern technology. All I can offer is that this light is bright. Is it as bright as the advertising photos and videos depict? I don’t believe so. At least not in my backyard. So, why did this reviewer give this flashlight a five-star rating? The flashlight is unbelievably light weight. I do not believe that the specific model of battery is identified but I would imagine it is powered by 18650 LiOn batteries as they are substantially light weight. The body being plastic is misleading to me as compared to previously owned all-metal flashlights. I suppose I equated the heft of an LED flashlight to its brightness and durability. I haven’t utilized this flashlight for long periods of time but so far, the device seems rather capable of holding a charge while in use. I’m appreciative of the innovative design that allows the user to manipulate the head of the flashlight in over 180-degrees of travel. This not only facilitates the ability to point the flashlight precisely where you desire it to illuminate. The body of this device is designed to facilitate the use of that function but if you twist the head 180-degrees, you access an entirely different LED that is capable of operating in several modes; cool light high, cool light low, warm light high, warm light low, red light for night vision and flashing red LED for warning or sign for need of assistance. This is in addition to the LED on the opposite side of the head that has 3 settings, High, Low and Flashing. As an electrician with an electronics background, I can appreciate the technology that went into creating this flashlight. I believe it serves the intended purpose well. I am hopeful that it holds a charge and is durable as I continue to utilize it in the future. WARNING: DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN TO OPERATE!Looking directly into the LED can result in damage to the eye. I don’t believe it is 2,000,000 lumens but it is powerful enough to cause damage if misused. Thank you.

This flashlight is a beast! Feels a bit flimsy, but the performance is unmatched. Solar charger works great; I haven’t plugged it in once yet after a few months of use.
