The pants are lovely, with great deep pockets and sturdy fabric. They aren’t stylish — at all — but they are very functional, so if that’s the kind of pants you like, these are great. The waist is adjustable with a velcro slider on each side, under the belt loops. The crotch is gusseted to avoid strain. Comfortable and durable. They dry quickly after washing, too. They are stain resistant, but do not believe the claim that they are water resistant — whatever water-repellent covering they arrive with disappears after the first couple of washings. The velcro cargo pocket closures work, but over the years they gradually lose their grip; it helps some if you pull the lint out of them once in a while. I first bought these in 2020 and am still buying more in 2024, particularly as they discover new colors beyond black, blue, and brown. My oldest ones are still wearable.When they arrive, they have a useless cord dangling from the bottom of each pant leg. In all the years I have worn these, I have never had a use for those cords, which are supposedly to seal up the bottom of the pant leg to keep the insects and dead leaves out when you’re crawling through the jungle, or something. Since I never do that, they just trip me occasionally, pull halfway out so they’re hard to get back in, or get caught in the sprocket of my bike chain. After years of nuisance, I now think it’s best to rip them out immediately upon arrival.The trick about these pants is that the vendor is clueless about how to sell them. They mix up two or three different kinds of pants in the VERY SAME amazon product page. So if you click on a color or size, thinking that the pants you are looking at will be identical in shape and function to another one that you bought, you may well be picking a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT set of pants!So, some pants have a zipper and a jeans-style stud at the waist. Others have a big button at the waist and buttons down the fly. Some have velcro that holds the cargo pockets closed; others have buttons there too. The last ones I ordered turned up with an elastic drawstring UNDER the velcro cargo pocket flap — and also have two knife-sized pockets on the shin! And not every style is available in every color or in every size. For some reason, they save some of the good colors, and only make them available for the wrong style of pants (for my taste), or only in obscure sizes.Whenever you change size or color, you HAVE TO go back up to the top of the page and zoom into the pictures to see whether you’re about to order button-type pants or zipper/velcro-type pants. If you don’t, you’ll end up with pants you hate, or a job of returning them to Tomahawk Tactical Supply Find and trying again — if you aren’t yet burned out on this pointless drudgery that the seller puts you through.You can try looking at the name at the top of the product page, but their names are clueless. The two styles used to be called “Brigade Pants(ubp01)” and “Brigade Pants(ubp02)” on the product pages, but now they have names like “Combat Inspired Assault Pants”. BUYER BEWARE!Why the seller couldn’t make TWO amazon product pages — or three, if they have three kinds of pants on sale — I have no idea. It’s been this sad way for years.Again, the pants are lovely , comfortable and durable, if you get past the foolish way that they sell them.
